plan your visit

The Royal Scots Dragoon Guards Museum is situated within the historic New Barracks at Edinburgh Castle. Our regimental story has many connections to the Castle’s own so a visit to the Museum makes for a perfect day out in Scotland’s capital city.

Admission

Entry to the museum is free.

Historic Environment Scotland charges for admission to Edinburgh Castle where the Royal Scots Dragoon Guards Museum is located.

Visit the Edinburgh Castle website to view the latest ticket prices and information about visiting the Castle.

If you wish to visit the Museum, access to Edinburgh Castle can be arranged for members of The Association and The Regimental Family by contacting Home Headquarters. They can be contacted by emailing either homehqscotsdg@gmail.com or you can contact the Assistant Regimental Secretary Sharon McConnell on sharon.mcconnell391@mod.gov.uk. We ask that you give us 48hrs notice and you contact us Monday to Friday. This will not allow wider access to the Castle.
