supporting you

The Regimental Charity supports the Regimental family by many means including debt relief, respite breaks, education, home improvement, mobility assistance and alterations, and financial support. Below are some examples of support we have given recently.

support to families

A grant of £250 towards house build costs was given to a former soldier who lives abroad with the rest of the grant being made up from other agencies. This has enabled him to build a house for his family overseas.

Mobility, well being and elderly care

A grant of £350 was awarded to a 73-year-old former sergeant whose mobility was restricted due to needing oxygen, this grant along with a grant of £1,399 from RBL helped get a mobility scooter to get him out and about.

employment and training

A grant of £200 was made towards a former soldier to buy a Laptop to enable him to complete a college course online to gain future employment.

housing and homelessness

A grant of £350 was made to assist with removal cost and flooring and white goods when this client moved house for employment, the remainder of the grant was made up by ABF & Poppy Scotland.

A grant of £200 was paid to a former solider who had served for 6 years, he was moving to be closer to family. The rest of his grant was met by ABF & Poppy Scotland.
